COURSE OFFERINGS

Middle School Course Offered:

  • Foundations in Faith-Building and Practical Christian Living

  • Why did Jesus say He is the only way to God?

  • Did He really do the things the Bible claims?

  • Why should we trust the Bible?

These are only a few of the questions this course answers. This foundational course uses a non-denominational approach to Scripture to examine how to:

  • Study a passage of the Bible for themselves

  • Discover characteristics of God as our heavenly Father

  • What happens when someone receives Jesus Christ

  • “Living the life of Another” by learning “it’s not about me”

  • Using Scripture in order to make wise and godly decisions in everyday life

This course examines the relational nature of the Christian faith. Being

rooted in understanding the character of the biblical God, students will

learn of their identity in Christ.

High School Courses Offered:

  • Comparative Religions

There are serious, basic and unavoidable differences between orthodox, biblical Christianity and the beliefs of other faiths such as:

  • God became incarnate (flesh) in the man, Jesus Christ.

  •  Jesus Christ paid for man's sin through His death on the cross.

  • Jesus Christ rose in recognizably bodily form from the grave, conquering death and proving He is God.

  • The Bible is the inspired, authoritative Word of God.

This study will discuss major religions of the world such as Judaism, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism and some major worldviews such as Unitarianism, Jehovah's Witnesses, Christian Science and Mormonism to better understand and defend the basic tenets of Christian faith.

Ground rules:

1) A study of other faiths is not to be done in a spirit of criticism.

2) A study of other faiths is bound to bring up differences and disagreements. To disagree is not necessarily equal to criticizing a person who holds a different view.

3) To compare orthodox, biblical Christianity with other faiths helps Christians better understand what and why they believe.
